Kraftyhands "Summer Holiday" Blog Challenge

Good morning internet peeps, just a quickie to let you know that the Kraftyhands Blog Challenge starts today over on our Challenge blog.

Steampunk Birthday

This is a 6x6 card made from the Steam Punk Emporium die cut topper set from Kraftyhands. I've created the backing panels using two embossing folders, the cogs from Darice and the burlap folder from Tim Holtz. Both use Core'dinations papers, sanded to give it them a distressed look. I've also added some Vintage Photo distress ink to age it a little. 

The cogs are a Tim Holtz Sizzix die cut from blue and gold mirri board and then sanded to distress them too. I spritzed the card with Pool & Caramel Adirondack alcohol ink for a splatter effect and then added Ranger Glossy Accents to finish. The clock brad is from Stampin' Up!

Amethyst (Love & Hope)

This 6x6 card is made from a fantastic set of toppers called "Love & Hope" the set contains 6 circle medalion style toppers and 6 female characters with precious stone names. This one is called "Amethyst". Click here for details!

I've used a couple of dies to add texture and a little dimension, but to be honest it didn't really need that much. This is a case of less is more!
